San Antonio ~ Day 6
We did get out a bit late afternoon and walked around the Alamo District. we have been getting glimpses of San Antonio this week. San Antonio hosted the world’s fair in 1968, it ws called HemisFair ’68 There is now a HemisFair Park that we walked through and saw the Tower of America which at 750 feet is higher than the Space Needle. The tower was part of HemisFair ’68
As we walked around the area we came to the Alamo, which is surrounded by downtown San Antonio. The Alamo was closing for the day but it was interesting to see it and we took a look at the models lined up along the side walk showing the various layout of the facility over points in time. It would be fun to go back and tour the grounds if we find the time.
We ended our evening with dinner at Pharm Table, a favorite of Cory and Annie.
